But it’s funny how things work out. Even before the Rush have officially left Edmonton, those in that inner circle Urban mentioned are already talking about how long it will be until the Oilers start up their own expansion NLL franchise. Two sources say the best bet will be in time for the 2018 season, as that organization is currently focused on transitioning to the downtown arena.

Rush move to Saskatchewan

Details Here

The rumor has been floating out there for awhile. Where there is smoke, there is fire. As the Rush were unable to secure a new arena lease. Another black eye for the NLL. As the defending champions move to the backwoods of Canada. Press conference to held in Saskatchewan on Tuesday July 21.

Is this a good move? Only time will tell. As the NLL moves to smaller markets. In an effort to cut the red ink. Got wonder if the shift in the business model. Will lead to long term success. As the jury is still out on Langley and New England.

The SaskTel Centre holds 15,100 for Hockey.

Terry Sanderson
Jake Bergey
Kevin Finneran
Tracey Kelusky
Gavin Prout

I would look for Sanderson to get in for sure. Finneran sorry just do not see it. Bergey this is his second go around. After falling short last year. I would flip a coin. Kelusky, I think he has the best shot of the players. Followed by Prout.

silence is deafening

So after speaking with the Rush office. Given the same old song and dance. Got to think the Rush are gone. Hope we are wrong. However……they appear to be left in the dark. Same as the fans. Great way to treat employes and fans alike.

Press Release

Solid hire by the Swarm. Pending what other moves are made. Maybe the Swarm can make some noise in the East. Plus the haul of draft picks. In the upcoming entry draft.
