He’ll prepare for an expansion draft that will take place in July with the team taking the floor for the 2018-19 season. The NLL is also expanding to San Diego.

“Each team can protect five forwards, five defencemen and a goalie.

The NLL owners and commissioner have done a great job making it a little better this time around. Last time teams protected 12 to 14 guys,” Day explained.

The Rush scored six straight goals to open the game and chased Bandits goaltender Alex Buque. However, the Bandits staged a furious comeback tying the game at 13-13 before Chris Corbeil put the Rush ahead.  Josh Byrns tied the game for the Bandits at 15-15 with 19 seconds left in regulation.

Pat Saunders scored the game winner for the Bandits at 1:45 of overtime.  Buffalo improves to 3-3 and Saskatchewan falls to 4-1.
