Wings suffered another slow start and trailed 4-0 after one quarter and never recovered. Matt Rambo got the Wings on the board 57 seconds into the second quarter, only to see the Bandits score the next two goals. Doug Buchan was pulled after 23:00 minutes of play and replaced by  David DiRuscio. Wings tied the game at 10-10 in the fourth quarter,  only to watch the Bandits go on a four goal run to keep the Wings winless.

Dhane Smith had two goals and six assists to lead the Bandits. Matt Vinc made 49 saves.  Kevin Crowley had three goals and two assists to lead the Wings.

Anyone seen number two overall pick Chris Cloutier?

The Wings sit at 0-5 and halfway to the 1996 Charlotte Cobras record of 0-10.

Buffalo improves to 4-1 and Philadelphia falls to 0-5

Bandits led the Hawks 5-2 halftime and scored the first three goals of the third quarter and took a commanding lead and never looked back. Guess the Hawks wish they could play the Wings every week. 🙂

Eight different Bandits scored at least one goal.  Matt Vinc made 55 saves.

Buffalo improves to 2-2 and Rochester falls to 1-1.

New name check. New GM check. New coaching staff check. New players check. However, the Warriors are still playing like the Stealth. Shawn Evans had four goals and seven assists to lead the Bandits. Matt Vinc made 38 saves. Curiously we do not see Corey Small listed on the game sheet.  Bandits attendance 12,005 also creep up this week.

Buffalo improves to 2-1 and Vancouver falls to 1-2.

Tom Schreiber led the Rock with three goals and four assists. Nick Rose made 32 saves for the Rock. Josh Bryne led the Bandits with four goals and three assists.

Bandits better figure out the goaltending and defense. Smallest home crowd in Buffalo in the past few seasons. Rock improve to 1-0 and the Bandits drop to 1-1.

Dhane Smith

Bandits place forward Dhane Smith on injured reserve. Dallas Birdie has been placed on the active roster.

Bandits jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on goals by Thomas Hoggarth and two goals by Corey Small. Vaughn Harris got the first goal in team history for Wings 3.0. Doug Buchan gave up 10 goals on 24 shots before being replaced by David DiRuscio who only gave up six goals and made 25 saves.  Wings hit too many posts to count.

Corey Small led the Bandits with five goals and one assists.  Matt Vinc made 36 saves and got plenty of help from the posts.  Ten different players scored at least one goal for the Wings.

Bandits went 4 for 7 on the powerplay and the Wings wen 0 for 3. Bandits improve to 1-0 and Wings fall to 0-1.

Even with the loss, it feels dam good to have the Wings back and got to hear  Welcome to the Jungle as well.
