So now we know why the Seals remained mum on the Staats knee injury. Staats is done for the season with an ACL tear in his right knee and so are the Seals chances of making a Golden Knights type run.

According to Wings GM and Head Coach Paul Day defenseman Ryan Wagner will miss the rest of the season with an upper body injury and will undergo surgery for the upper body injury.

Wings defense continues to get depleted. Day needs to address the lack of depth across the board in the off-season.  No easy task with the league expanding by two more teams in New York and Rochester.

The Rush are looking for a new netminder after last night. Starter Evan Kirk went down with a lower body injury and is expected to be out an undetermined amount of time. Pending the results of an MRI.

Injured Reserve Changes

The league no longer has first level and second level injured reserve. The league uses injured reserve and season ending injured reserve. Player on injured reserve must miss at least one game and be on injured reserve for at least four days.
